UPDATE 2/28/2023, 2:30 p.m.: Eunice Police have arrested a suspect in connection with this shooting.

Kaden Mykel Guillory, 19, of Eunice, was arrested and charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder, authorities said. Bond information was not released.

Police said the victim, who has not been identified, was released from Lafayette General and is at home recovering.

ORIGINAL, 2/23/2023: EUNICE, La. (KLFY) – Police are on the scene of a shooting in Eunice.

According to Eunice Police Chief Kyle Lebouef, the shooting took place in the 200 block of North Vivian St. The victim was hit by gunfire 3 times and is in serious condition. They have been transported to the hospital.
