UPDATE 9/30 11:18 a.m.: The boil water advisory for all customers of the City of Opelousas Water Systems has been lifted by the mayor.
ORIGINAL STORY 9/28: OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY)– The City of Opelousas has issued a citywide boil advisory, effective immediately.
The advisory is issued due to repairs on the Ground Storage Water Reservoir. This advisory applies to all Opelousas water customers who are serviced.
This will be in place until further notice.
