Ragin Cajuns accepting donations today for victims of Hurricane Florence near Coastal Carolina

Local

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is giving back.

It’s hard to believe just two years ago we were underwater.

As a community, we know first hand what it’s like to lose everything.

After receiving so many donations, it’s our turn to give back.

South Carolina was devastated by Hurricane Florence.

Many lost their homes, and everything they owned.

So now the University of Louisiana is doing anything they can to help out.

When the Cajuns took on Coastal Carolina earlier this season, they sent their equipment truck home full of supplies.

And now, they’re filling up their own equipment truck and sending it their way.

For those interested in making a donation, the University is looking for toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, non-perishable food items and bottled water.

You can drop all donations off from Noon to 6:00 p.m. today at Gate $ of the Cajun Field parking lots.
