Man cited for illegally burning remains of his two vacant homes

A man issued a warning for illegal burning the remains of two vacant homes that he owned.

According to Alton Trahan with the Lafayette Fire Department, Irvin Malveaux owned a pair of vacant homes damaged by the floods of 2016.

While he was tearing them down, Malveaux set fire to what was left of the homes.

Malveaux is facing illegal burning charges.
