LPD: ‘Operation Wake-Up’ nabs 17 suspects

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- A narcotics investigation has led to several arrests by the Lafayette Police Department.

The investigation, dubbed Operation Wake-Up focused on identifying suspects responsible for the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics in the city limits of Lafayette.

These types of illegal activities have direct correlation to violent crimes in the city. As a result, 16 narcotic arrest warrants were executed in effort to locate these suspects, Lafayette Police Department spokesperson Cpl. Bridgette Dugas said. 

As of today, 17 arrests have been made. Lafayette Police Tactical Narcotics Team’s objective is to rid the community of narcotics and reduce drug-related crimes effecting families, Dugas said.

The public’s assistance is needed in an attempt to locate six wanted fugitives that were not located today. If you know the location of the suspects pictured call Lafayette Police or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.

Milton J. Marshall, charged with Distribution of Sch. II.

Erick Alexander, charged with Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. I.

Xavier P. Ledet, charged with Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. II.

Troy Anthony, charged with Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. II.

Raynell L. Claton, charged with Distribution of Sch. II.

Alphonso J. Bernard, charged with Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. II & Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. I.

Joseph J. Bargeman Jr., charged with Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. II & Possession with intent to Distribute Counterfeit CDS

Jassmine L. Journet, charged with Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. II.

Byron A. Sam, charged with Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. I.

Treven Lemalle, charged with Distribution of Sch. I.

Kavon Lyons, charged with Possession of Sch. I.

Kody Dixon, charged with Distribution of Sch. I (MDMA) & Distribution of Sch. I.

Joseph Babineaux, charged with Possession of Sch. II & Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. II.

Troy Davis, arrested on an active warrant.

David W. Fontenot, charged with Manufacture/Distribution of Sch. II
