A strong arctic cold front is expected to pass through Acadiana on Saturday. A line of showers and storms will move through the area early Saturday morning from approximately 4:00am to 10:00am as it moves west to east. The Storm Prediction Center has most of Acadiana outlined in their “Marginal Risk” for severe weather, which is the bottom of the scale for likelihood for severe storms. Only a few storms could be strong to severe, with damaging winds being the overall threat. The severe threat and rain chances should end across Acadiana by the afternoon on Saturday.
