LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (KLFY) Scott Police are investigating a shooting near the intersection of Dulles Drive and Westgate Road.

According to multiple people at the scene, police responded to the Shop Rite convenience store in the area just after 2 p.m.

Initital reports indicate that the shooting may have originated as a result of a domestic dispute between two people over money.

Unconfirmed reports from Scott PD suggest one person died in the shooting and another person was taken to a local hospital.
