Lafayette man arrested for attempted first degree murder


LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)– A Lafayette man was arrested on Sunday after “beating someone with a heavy object,” according to arrest reports.

Lafayette Police officials say officers were dispatched to the 800 block of NW Evangeline Thwy on a domestic call.

Ernest Trahan, 57, was arrested for attempted first degree murder and false imprisonment, due to the extent of the victim’s injuries, according to LPD officials.
