Lafayette General Endoscopy Center Raising Awareness about Colon Cancer Prevention

The Lafayette General Endoscopy Center seeks to continually raise awareness for colon health in Acadiana. For 11 years, they have worked through the ‘Test for Life’ campaign to encourage the public to pay attention to the signs of potential colon cancer.

RN administratior with the LGEC Marsha Williamson says “The goal is to bring awareness to people to need to be screened and you need to know your risk factors.”

She says that colon cancer is the only preventable cancer and that she strives to help lower the stats of colon cancer victims in Louisiana through this campaign.
