The Louisiana Economic Development Authority’s job fair, (LEDA), is one of the largest recruitment events in Acadiana.
This week marks its 23rd year in the region where hundreds of Acadiana’s top employers have successfully recruited job-candidates.
There will be over 100 businesses on-site hiring for medical, food service, retail, engineering and oil and gas and other industries. There will also be an E-application station.
The E-Application Station, sponsored by the Louisiana Workforce Commission- Business and Career Solutions Center, will be available allowing job seekers to apply for positions available at participating companies, in addition to searching and applying for thousands of additional jobs in the region and throughout the state.
The LEDA Job Fair will also feature two job seeker seminars. At 10 a.m., Laurie J. James will share tips and best practices for utilizing LinkedIn in a job search. Facet will discuss interviewing techniques at 11:30 a.m. The seminars are held in the job fair exhibit hall. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early as seminar seating is limited.
The LEDA Job Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette.
