NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) — Governor John Bel Edwards visited New Iberia Thursday to survey the damage done by tornadoes that swept through Acadiana on Wednesday.
The New Iberia Medical Center took a direct hit from a tornado during the storms, and rare twin tornadoes were spotted by residents.
Previously, the governor toured tornado damage in north Louisiana after storms hit that part of the state on Tuesday.
