UPDATE: 12/13/22 4:03 P.M.: There was a slight delay in dismissal at New Iberia Senior High Tuesday following am early morning lockdown due to reports of a shooting on campus.
Police and school administrators who combed the school throughout the day, said they found no weapons, and no injuries were reported.
“We will hold anyone calling in such non credible rumor as “fact” when it is not will be held accountable,” Police Chief Todd D’Albor said.
NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) – A potential threat at New Iberia Senior High has the school in lockdown.
According to the Sgt. Daesha Hughes with the New Iberia Police Department, officers are investigating rumors of a shooting.
There is currently no active threat and all students and staff are safe. Only authorized individuals will be allowed on the campus.
