UPDATE, 2/21/2023, 11:30 a.m.: Police have identitifed the victim found at a residence in the 3400 block of General Patton Street on Sunday as Ashton Money, 19, of Broussard.
UPDATE, 2/21/2023 6 a.m.: IPSO has confirmed that Caiden Sheridan was arrested Monday evening by the Lake Charles Police Department. Sheridan was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Jail on a warrant issued by the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Sheridan was released to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office and then booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on one count of second-degree murder.
No bond has been set at this time.
ORIGINAL: IBERIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) – The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a murder suspect.
According to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 3400 block of General Patton St. around 7 p.m. on Sunday in reference to a shooting. On arrival, they found the victim dead inside the residence. A witness reported seeing someone shoot the victim and run away on foot.
The suspect was identified by the witness as Caiden Sheridan, 19. An active arrest warrant has been issued for Sheridan for second degree murder.
