UPDATE, 4:25 P.M.: Livingston has turned herself in.
UPDATE, 3:15 P.M.: According to the New Iberia Police Department, officers responded to the shooting in the 1700 block of Brianna Drive just after 9 a.m. They located the victim on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.
After an investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Kailin Renee Livingston, 22, on a charge of Second Degree Murder.
Livingston is approximately 5’ 1“, weighs approximately 145 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. Her last known address is on Prairie Lane in Lafayette. She is believed to be in the Youngsville area.
A 2001 Toyota Avalon silver in color was found to be registered to Livingston. The vehicle was last known to display Louisiana license plate 824FJK.

ORIGINAL, 10:31 A.M.: NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) — New Iberia police have confirmed a homicide was committed in the city Friday morning.
New Iberia Police Department spokesperson Daesha Hughes said the homicide took place on Brianna Drive in New Iberia. No other information is available.
