Governor John bel Edwards and State Lawmakers are preparing themselves for yet another Special Session to try to fix the looming budget gap.
On Tuesday, May 22nd, Governor Edwards will be in Lafayette to deliver an address named “Our Louisiana” to the people of Louisiana in lieu of speaking to the joint session legislature in Baton Rouge.
The Governor will speak from the Earl K. Long Gym on the campus of UL-Lafayette, which is one of the many colleges in the state threatened by the unresolved fiscal cliff.
His address will happen at 1:00 p.m., right before the special session is set to begin.
Governor Edwards will be joined by Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser and stakeholders from both sides of the aisle.
