  • Pastors if the three burned churches are preparing to be recognized and supported by Vice President Mike Pence. The VP flies in today and is expected to tour the charred grounds of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
  • Rayne police are investigating vandalism that occurred Wednesday night over here at St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in Rayne.
  • Two men have been arrested following an alleged home invasion and shooting in Crowley. Scott Johnson was charged with possession of a firearm. Joseph Romero was charged with Home Invasion.
  • A Lafayette man was indicted in connection with the murder of his father in March. Ernest White III is charged with First-Degree Murder.
  • Tomorrow is election day for Louisiana. Here in Acadiana, some parishes will decide between a couple of millages. Polls open at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.
  • Also on Saturday, LCG will host Household Hazardous Waste Day at Cajun Field. Residents that live in the city and unincorporated areas of the parish can drop off items from 8 a.m. to noon.
