A Mass of Christian burial will at held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for Marcelle Citron who died Saturday at her home surrounded by family.
Citron was well-known in Acadiana for her nonprofit work with numerous charitable organizations. She was also the owner of Hub City Ford.
She founded FoodNet – Food for Families Food Drive of Lafayette, which KLFY hosted for the past 31 years.
A day long event, the Food Drive, focused on collecting food and other non-perishable items which were later distributed to our neighbors in need throughout the community.
Visiting hours are scheduled from 11 a.m.- 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, and from 8 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday, March 7
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in the name of Marcelle Citron to Foodnet, 217 Surrey Street, Lafayette, LA 70501; Project RX, 1005 Jefferson Street, Lafayette, LA 70501; or to Faith House, 1453 West Willow, Lafayette, LA 70506.
