VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY)– The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Ville Platte PD conducted a joint drug sting which resulted in the arrest of one, and $71,050 worth of narcotics off the streets, authorities say.

A spokesperson with the Sheriff’s Office told KLFY, on July 29, authorities searched on a warrant the address of 2411 2nd street in Ville Platte, La.

According to a news release, detectives received an anonymous tip which led to the search warrant.

Marcus A. Garrison was arrested and transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail where he was charged with, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of synthetic cannabinoids and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Garrison’s bond was set at $82,500 and a hold was placed on him by the Louisiana State Probation and Parole Ville Platte District.

According to a spokesperson, authorities found and confiscated during the search a total of 1,112.1 grams of Methamphetamine (worth $40,000.00), 542 grams of Cocaine (worth $27,150.00), 61 grams of Crack Cocaine (worth $2,300.00), 67.51 grams of Marijuana (worth $1,500.00), 13.2 grams of Synthetic Cannabinoids (worth $100.00) and drug paraphernalia.
