St. Landry Parish authorities are investigating an incident between a student and a bus driver at Palmetto Elementary.
Officials say the student struck the bus driver before being apprehended by teachers. The bus driver was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
Authorities say more information will be released after an investigation.
