The Autism Society of Acadiana is preparing to launch their biggest annual fundraiser of the year through the “Walk for Hope & Family Fun Day”. This is a family-oriented event geared to bring families together and raise awareness for Autism.

Co-Chair of the Autism Society, Lauren Tate says “Our society tries to help (as) many families as we can within the area that are impacted by Autism. Our biggest thing right now is project “Keep our Kids Safe” where we’re giving GPS trackers to kids so whenever they run away, we can find them easily”.

The event is expected to be held on April 6th at the Blackham Coliseum with gates opening at 7:30am and a one-mile walk down Cajundome Boulevard beginning at 9:00am.
