UPDATE: Both roads are reopen for traffic. Utilities will remain turned off as workers make repairs, the Lafayette Fire Department said.
ORIGINAL STORY: Lafayette Fire Department is on the scene of a gas line break on Ambassador Caffery and Dulles. A three-inch gas line was breached at a construction site in the area.
The intersection at Ambassador and Dulles will be closed along with the utilities at the intersection. A nearby nursing home will be sheltered in place.
At 11 a.m., LFD spokesman Alton Trahan said the leak has been stopped and repairs are underway.
