All weather-related school closures for Thursday, Nov. 1


Schools to close on Thursday, Nov. 1, due to severe weather:

*All Lafayette Parish public schools closed Thursday 

*All Iberia Parish public schools closed Thursday, Superintendent Carey Laviolette says all 12 month employees must report for work at 9 am

*All Vermilion Parish public schools closed Thursday 

*All St. Landry Parish public schools will delay start of school by one hour. Dismissal will be regular time. 

*All St. Mary Parish public schools closed Thursday

*All St. Martin Parish public schools closed Thursday, 12 month employees must report for work as weather permits

* All St. Mary and Vermilion Parish Head Start Centers and Central Offices will be closed Thursday 

* Evangeline Parish School Superintendent Darwin Lazard issued the following statement:  “We are planning to have All EPSB Schools open tomorrow (11-1-18) for regular operations.”

  • Acadiana Renaissance Charter (Youngsville campus)
  • Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy 
  • All three campuses of Ascension Episcopal School will be closed
  • Gethsemane Christian Academy/LaPetite Early Childhood
  • New Beginnings Christian Academy (Breaux Bridge)
  • Willow Charter (Lafayette)
  • For My Child Learning Center (Lafayette)
  • United Christian Academy (Lafayette)
  • St. Cecilia School (Broussard) 
  • First Baptist Christian School (Lafayette)
  • All Sugar ‘n Spice preschools and Vacation Station 
  • Principal’s List Preschool (Lafayette and Youngsville locations)
  • Covenant Preschool (Lafayette)
  • Highland Baptist (New Iberia)
  • Glencoe Charter School (Franklin) 
  • Louisiana Christian School,  Breaux Bridge 

  • Creative Learning Preschool and Childcare Center

  • Amana Christian Preschool and Mother’s Day Out in Maurice

  • Both campuses of Westminster Christian Academy 

  • Kinder Kollege Learning Center in Breaux Bridge
