ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) — Acadia Parish Sheriff Detectives are investigating the theft of about $15,000 worth of cigarettes from a convenience store in Church Point.

In the early morning hours on March 23, detectives say, two suspects broke the front glass doors of Vautrot’s Mini Mart using a pink dumbbell, went behind the counter and filled two trash cans with cartons of cigarettes, according to Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers.

Only vague descriptions of the suspects were released by police, however, they did say that both fled the area in a newer model white Toyota Camry with black factory wheels and no license plate.

No injuries were reported.
