LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (KLFY) – Duson Police and Lafayette Parish sheriff’s deputies are each investigating separate single-vehicle crashes that happened overnight, both involving overturned vehicles.

Both drivers were hospitalized.

The first crash happened just after 1 a.m. on Cameron Street near south Richfield Road in Duson.

According to Chief Kip Judice, Christopher Gary of Maurice was heading west on Cameron when he crossed the center line, overcorrected, which caused the truck to overturn.

Gary was transported to a local hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.

Toxicology samples are pending.

Lafayette Police responded to a crash on Johnston Street around 4 a.m. this morning near the Horse Farm.

According to Corporal Bridgette Dugas, the driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned into one of the entrance ways of the horse farm.
