St. Martin Parish President declares state of emergency ahead of Hurricane Delta

ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. (KLFY) A state of emergency has been declared in St. Martin Parish.

Parish President Chester Cedars declared the order Wednesday in anticipation of Hurricane Delta.

In addition, Cedars has requested a voluntary evacuation of lower St. Martin Parish, (Stephensville and Belle River) effective immediately.

Residents are encouraged to prepare emergency supplies, including food, water and medicines, for at least three days, he said.
