LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – KLFY TV 10 wants to recognize the Remarkable Women in Acadiana. Nominate a woman who has made a tremendous difference in community impact, self-achievement, or exhibits innovation, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. (Self-nominations are ineligible)

Nominees should be women who have made a difference when it comes to community impact and exhibit traits such as innovation, creativity, or an entrepreneurial spirit.

Eligible entries will be judged by a 5-member panel comprised of KLFY personnel. Four finalists will be profiled every Tuesday in March, which is also Women’s History Month, during Acadiana Live and KLFY News at 5a.m. .

This winner receives $1,000 to a non-profit of their choice and an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles from April 7th to 9th for the “Nexstar Woman of the Year” contest. Each market’s “Remarkable Woman” is considered for the title. The Nexstar Charitable Foundation then makes a $10,000 contribution on behalf of the “Nexstar Woman of the Year” to a non-profit of the winner’s choice.
