Jazz Fest returns in October 2021

New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival

NEW ORLEANS (WWL-TV) — On the heels of French Quarter Fest moving to the Fall, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has decided to follow suit.

Eyewitness News has confirmed that the 2021 Jazz Fest will be held in October.

Jazz Fest will take place over two three-day weekends, Oct. 8-10 and Oct. 15-17, 2021.

Rayne Frog Festival canceled, plans hop ahead to 2022 with 50-year anniversary celebration

ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY)- The Rayne Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced that Rayne Frog Festival will not take place this year.

"It is our goal to produce stellar events within our community and to be respectful to the Covid-19 guidelines as well as our generous sponsors," the board's announcement said Friday. "With that being said, it is in the best interest to move forward with this extremely tough decision."

Festival International de Louisiane announces three artists for 2021 pin and poster

LAFAYETTE, La. (The Advertiser)- In a normal year, Festival International de Louisiane has individual artists apply to create the annual poster and pin. But nothing in the past year has been normal.

Festival has brought together three artisans with diverse backgrounds and mediums to create a piece of commissioned artwork that is unifying and unique. The organization also felt that now is the perfect time to celebrate the unity and diversity that Festival encompasses and shares with the world, organizers said.
