MAURICE, La. (KLFY) — Dec. 16, 2020, UPDATE: The advisory has been lifted.
ORIGINAL: Officials with the Village of Maurice have issued a boil advisory for at least the next 24 hours after an electrical issue at the water plant caused the area to lose water pressure.
Note: The boil advisory is only within the city limits of Maurice.
Officials say they hope to retest the water Wednesday in an attempt to lift the advisory.
Residents are asked to bring their water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to consumption.
