 Congratulation to the new members of the KLFY News 10 Teen Report!  Our new team members are Spencer Latiolais, a senior at Cecilia High School, Chantel Douresseaux, a junior at Crowley High, Tyler Arceneaux, a sophomore at Beau Chene High, Kiersten Williams, a senior at Abbeville High, Kelsi Flores, a sophomore at Westgate High, Emily Caffery, a junior at Lafayette High, Cody Briscoe, a senior who is homeschooled through the Parkview Baptist School in Sulphur, and Ally Nguyen, a freshman at Delcambre.  They will join our returning team member Claire Perrodin of Loreauville High.

  • Last July, the Broussard family of Delcambre was vacationing in Gulf Shores, Alabama when their 10-year-old son Landon was struck by a bolt of lightning, hitting his upper chest and exiting through his leg. Ally Nguyen of Delcambre High sat down with Landon and his mother Lisa and his dad, 1st Sgt. Clay Broussard to get an update on Landon's recovery and their lives since the accident.

     
  • Beaux Chene High School hosted an African-American History Celebration this week that honored the achievements of individual Americans throughout our nation's history, from the emancipation proclamation to the March on Washington.

     
  • Acadiana Young people dreaming of a future on the stage are getting an opportunity to make that dream come true. Christian Youth Theater is putting on a production of Willie Wonka Junior.
  • For her high test scores and strong grade point average,  Carencro High School Senior Ngozi Asonye has been named the first recipient of the $10,000 Glenn Armentor Pay it forward Scholarship.
  • UL students are teaming up with students at Northside High. "Success Bound" pairs Northside Students with UL Sociology majors, who visit the campus to provide educational and career guidance.
