Anyone who's ever left their kid at home with a babysitter knows that worrying about your child's safety can turn a relaxing evening out into an anxiety-ridden night.

Which is what makes a series of photos taken by a couple of babysitters so funny.

The photos have gone viral on the web.

Reddit users Erica and Hannes live in Switzerland and recently babysat another couple's 6-month-old boy, Alex. They decided to send Alex's parents a photo of Alex every hour.

But, the photos weren't your traditional baby photos. With the help of Photoshop, Erica and Hannes created some frightening babysitting scenarios.

The couple also wrote about the experience on Reddit and included links to the photos on Imgur for everyone to see.

"True, we didn't teach the kid how to read that day. We also didn't expand his brain by playing classical music nonstop. We didn't feed him an immune system boosting meal every 15 minutes. But he survived, giggled a lot was looked after the entire time by the two of us and went to bed at 7.30PM perfectly happy. And we will show him these pics in maybe 10 years or so and say: ‘Young man, we had an awesome time together that day'," they wrote.
