In Spring 2013, Jazmin graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcasting and a minor in English. She says one of her favorite classes while attending the university was CMCN 477 where she was fortunate enough to be taught by former KLFY News Anchor and News Director Maria Placer.
Following graduation, Jazmin joined KLFY as a News Producer until April 2014. She was a News Producer for Passe Partout and the 6:00 p.m. show until one day her dream of being hired as a News Reporter at the station came true.
After growing up watching KLFY her entire life, Jazmin is overjoyed to be a part of the news team. Jazmin is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and when not working, she enjoys participating in community service with her sorority sisters, listening and dancing to zydeco music, learning how to cook creole cuisine, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
