Residents injured in home invasion

May 23, 2014 - Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal reports on May 22, at approximately 11:00 PM deputies with the Patrol Division responded to a residence on Jennifer Street in New Iberia concerning a report of an armed robbery.  According to the occupants of the residence, two individuals described as tall black males with thin build and armed with hand guns entered the residence and took an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspects struck the victims during the course of the robbery and fled the residence in an unknown direction.  The victims were treated at the scene by Acadian Ambulance personnel.     

Detectives with the Bureau of Investigation were summoned to the scene and are continuing their investigation.  Anyone with information concerning this armed robbery is urged to contact detectives at 337-369-3711.
