Mother's Day Indulgence

Updated:

Sometimes, holidays have a way of sneaking up on us. If Mother's Day has you sweating this year, relax, there’s still time. If you want to stray from the usual flowers and cards, Lafayette has a lot to offer. Over at Indulge, the sweet treats are just as unique as mom.

"A lot of personalized gifts, we have a lot of eclectic gifts, truffles, chocolate covered strawberries, pastries, of course, that's our specialty,” said Barbara Judice, Indulge’s owner.

But if narrowing down the perfect gift has you stumped, let the pros work their magic. They’ll find that special piece somewhere in between.

"(We can combine) champagne and some bath products along with candies and a vase you can put some flowers in,” said Judice.

For a lot of moms, simply spending quality time is a gift in itself. Why not add a new memory and a twist to that mother's day routine? Try Xtend Barre in River Ranch for a ballet-Pilates workout.

Owner, Natalie DeJean, is offering mom's a class—for free.

"We're open on Sunday (for) Mother's Day. It’s going to be great. We’ll have refreshments and flowers for the moms. It’ll be great,” said DeJean.

It’s a way to work off that mother's day brunch , just add a plié and a chasse—no ballet shoes required.

"We offer great classes for moms and daughters,” said DeJean. “It doesn't matter if you're a dancer or do Pilates all the time. So, it's a great gift for mom."

But remember, as mom would always say, don't stress about the gift, it's the thought that counts.
