LCVC interactive magazine

There's a new way to experience the Hub City right at your fingertips. Staff at the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Center have come together to create a new interactive magazine named Allons.

The imagazine is a fairly new promotional and travel source for Lafayette. LCVC President and CEO, Ben Berthelot said it's a simple way to get an interesting look into the city. "It's an interactive imagazine. It's a hands on piece that allows us to promote Lafayette through the eyes of some of our great entertainers," said Berthelot. The focus of the magazine's second issue this month is two-time grammy award winner, Terrance Simien who says this could be very beneficial for Lafayette.

"There's a lot of things happening in Lafayette that a lot of people around the world don't know about. When people are going to read this you know they're going to see things happening that interests them and they're going to want to come check out the music, the food and the culture," said Simien. Berthelot said the interactive magazine not only displays an interview with Simien, but also gives readers an inside look into some of the places he mentions.

"What drives the content of the imagazine is whatever the artists talks about in his interview. It's really a personal experience from one of our well-known musicians and what they love about this area," said Berthelot. He says the cost of creating this magazine is almost the cost of two typical ads. "We have about a $10,000 budget for each issue and that includes the design and software behind the design the photos, the videos, and all those things," said Berthelot.

Berthelot said Allons is as close to actually being here in Lafayette and
