Around 1:00 A.M. Friday April 11th, Lafayette firefighters responded to 107 Hobson Street to a report house fire. When fire fighters arrived, the flames were coming from the back side of the vacant dwelling.

The fire was extinguished within fifteen minutes and the dwelling sustained heavy fire damage to the exterior. There were no injuries reported.

Fire investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set. Investigators believe someone set fire to the exterior of the dwelling. The fire is still under investigation.
