LCG helped UL Lafayette celebrate "Fete de la Terre"—the University's Earth Week celebration.
Students were encouraged to explore alternative commuting options to the University, including the hybrid option of biking to bus stops. Cyclists were able to transport their bicycles aboard Lafayette Transit buses in quality, heavy-duty racks attached to the front of each bus.
"UL approached us about being a part of its Earth Week celebrations, and we know that it is certainly one of the groups who could be using transit more, given the proximity of the campus to downtown and many of the bus routes. We were happy to offer this promotion, and we see it as a positive for the students, the University, and the transit system as we educate the next generation of riders," said City-Parish President Joey Durel.
