Bayou Vista Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Traci Landry, bank robbery suspect Barry Gilmore was taken into custody Thursday morning at a business on Hwy. 182 in Morgan City by Morgan City police. Detectives identified the subject as the man seen on video surveillance at MC Bank in Bayou Vista when it was robbed.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office detectives identified the subject seen on video surveillance at MC Bank in Bayou Vista. Detectives say the subject is 53 year old Barry Paul Gilmore. A warrant for simple robbery has been issued for his arrest. Gilmore drives the 1990 Chevy pick-up truck seen in the photos released yesterday. It bears Idaho license plate 1A8F988. A picture of Gilmore is included.
