Festival International de Louisiane gears up

Updated:

Exactly two weeks from tomorrow Festival International de Louisiane will kick off in downtown Lafayette.

The 28th annual, five day festival features music, art and cuisine from all over the world. Festival organizers say the economic impact this event has to our local economy ranges somewhere near $22 million. But as the big day nears, your help is needed to make it all come to life.

According to Festival Executive Director Missy Paschke-Wood they are in need of people to sell tickets, to help in different areas like the youth area and in production. They even have opportunities for people who need court ordered community service. Festival offers documentation for that if they volunteer in production or recycling departments.

For information regarding volunteering, parking, and how to download their mobile app visit www.festivalinternational.com Festival runs April 23 thru the 27.
