OPD K-9 Unit Makes Cocaine Bust

Sunday evening an OPD Patrol Sgt conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Dodge Charger on Railroad Ave at Church Street. The suspicious behavior of the driver, Bryan Vallian (26), prompted officers to summons K-9 Officer "Zig" to the scene.

Zig alerted on the car and officers subsequently located 15 small bags of powdered cocaine packaged for sale, hidden in the center console.

Vallien was taken into custody and charged with failing to signal, poss. w/intent to distribute schedule II, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, and cds in the presence of person under 17 yrs of age. Vallian is presently in the OPD jail and will go before a magistrate Monday morning.

Officers also seized $500.00 in cash and the 2008 Dodge Charger.
