Scott Boudin Festival in full swing


The 2nd annual Boudin Festival in Scott is in full swing.The gates opened at 5 p.m. The first act is scheduled take to the stage at 6 p.m.

The mayor says last year more than 20 thousand people made their way into Scott for the event. Mayor Purvis Morrison is hoping the rain won't affect the numbers for this year. Morrison explains the vendors and even the volunteers put a lot into making this happen.

"We hope the weather holds up. We're preparing hopefully everyone can enjoy themselves. Tonight we're expecting beautiful weather. So everyone can definitely come out tonight. We're just looking and hopefully tomorrow is going to be a good day also." said Morrison.

The first musician tonight is Chubby Carrier at 6 p.m. Keith Frank is scheduled to take to the stage at 8:30 p.m.
