Earth Day to be celebrated at Vermilionville

The Bayou Vermilion District will celebrate Earth Day on April 13 at Vermilionville.

Organizers will bring together various organizations to Vermilionville in an effort to raise awareness and inspire appreciation for our planet Earth. The BVD will be host for a day to various community organizations and businesses ready to share their knowledge of environmentally related issues as well as provide fun activities for the kids.

There will be a short canoe paddle in Vermilionville's Petit Bayou, cooking demonstrations on how to preserve your garden's harvest and more. There will be music from Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band, the Lafayette Rhythm Devils, and Joe Vidrine & Friends.

The event is from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Admission to the festival is $5 for adults and students and free for children 5 & under.
