Construction on Cajun RVera Project coming to a close

Updated:

Construction on the Cajun RVera Project is finally coming to a close.

Karl Vincent, chairman of the Acadiana Fairgrounds Commission, says opening day for the RV park on the Acadiana Fairgrounds in New Iberia will be March 28 at 3 p.m.

This is the fourth time the commission has announced an opening day for the RV park.

"We had over 180 rain days. And three snow days. It was an unusual time everything was a problem everything was an issue and the weather made everything terrible. And we rode it out. We're there and its going to be a great project for this parish I hope everybody is proud of it." said Vincent.

Vincent says the park will feature an arcade, clubhouse, pool, pool pavilion and outdoor bar.
