Clean-up efforts completed following gas line break in St. Landry

St. Landry Parish authorities say clean-up efforts have been completed with the natural gas pipeline explosion in St. Landry Parish.

Authorities say it happened north of Opelousas in a field off of Pavy road. The pipe could be as large as a 36 inch pipe according to Bill Fontenot, St. Landry Parish President. The pipeline is owned by Crosstex Energy.

Individuals will be allowed to return to their homes. Evacuation order has been lifted.
