An armed robbery didn't go quite as well as two suspects had hoped it would. Police say one of the suspects was shot by the other as they attempted to rob another male who was allegedly selling narcotics.

Authorities say it happened March 7 on 8th and Simcoe Streets. Police say two black males walked up to Travis Tabor in a car to allegedly buy narcotics. As they attempted to rob Tabor, Tabor ran from the car.

Police say one of the robbers tried to shoot Tabor but missed and hit the other robber. Authorities say the robber who was shot is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Travis Tabor is charged with attempting to distribute marijuana.
