Arrests made in inflatable duck theft

Arrests have been made in the theft of the inflatable duck belonging to the Boys and Girls Club. 

Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department have arrested 21 year old Garcon Cormier and 25 year old Kyle Cormier both of Lafayette Parish, and charged them each with one count of Felony Theft.

The inflatable duck was recovered and will be returned to the Boys and Girls Club. More arrests are expected in the case as the investigation remains ongoing.

During the early morning on Thursday, February 27, 2014, the suspects allegedly stole the 14 foot inflatable yellow duck belonging to the Boys and Girls Club.  The duck was set up in front of a store in the 2700 block of Johnston Street.
