Crime stoppers tip leads to arrest of art theft suspect

Lafayette, LA – On February 14, 2014, at approximately 9:40 pm, Lafayette Police were notified of wall art being stolen from the interior of a medical building in the 2800 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway.  The surveillance video captured the suspect during the theft of over $500.00 worth of art pieces.  The photo capturing the suspect was featured on Crime Stoppers and the suspect was identified as David Aragon (17) of Maurice.  On February 27, 2014, Aragon was arrested on a warrant for Theft and the art was returned to the business.  Aragon was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
