Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division are working a theft that took place in the early morning hours of Valentine's Day, February 14, at Walmart in Bayou Vista.

At 3:30 am two subjects are seen on video surveillance pulling up to the front entrance of the store in an SUV. One of the subjects exits the passenger side of the vehicle and enters the front doors of the business before walking through the store into a restricted warehouse area.

The subject then takes a large flat screen television from the storage area and leaves the building through a rear emergency exit triggering a fire alarm. The subject loads the stolen TV into the SUV driven to the rear of the store by the second unknown subject.

As the vehicle drives away, the rear driver's side door of the vehicle is open and the stolen TV can be seen protruding from the SUV. The vehicle travels out of the parking lot and onto Delmar Road with the open rear door.

Anyone with information on the crime or information on who the two suspects may be can reach St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives at 985-384-1622 or 337-828-1960.
