When the vintage yacht the Niña went missing back in May, Ricky and Robin Wright's world got turned upside down.

The Lafayette couples 19 year old daughter and UL-Lafayette student Danielle Wright was one of 7 crew onboard. After the vessel came across some bad weather, they were never heard from again. Almost 9 months later not much has surfaced, but the Wrights are determined to find the missing boat, taking their search across the waters off Australia. They have been there for the past three months but are expected to be back in the States soon.

Robin Wright says she really wants to be near the location where the Niña was last seen, just in case they wash up or are spotted. But Robin says it is time to come back to Lafayette, to her family and work. The couple says they believe their daughter is alive and well. Saying if the Niña is upright and giving them shelter they could live indefinitely off of fish, turtles and water. Ricky Wright says they have put a lot of money and effort into searching, since the United States nor any other country will help.

Even though the couple holds onto hope that Danielle is living, they are certain of one thing; that she and the crew are in god's hands one way or the other and have come to peace with that. They are also comforted knowing that right before Danielle left for the trip, she ran back into her room because she forgot her bible.
