A Missing 12-year-old girl from Kansas was found Saturday evening in north Lafayette Parish.
Around 5 p.m., the Lafayette Sheriff's Office received a call from the Wichita, Kansas police about a local connection in the case.
According to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, Wichita police also mentioned that the girl was in danger and had been missing for at least 24 hours.
After their own brief investigation, detectives searched a house on Lantier Road around 8:30 and found the missing girl.
Officials say she appeared to be unharmed. Two people are in custody awaiting questioning. The little girl will be sent back to Kansas soon.
