Governor Jindal in Abbeville

Updated:

Friday, Governor Bobby Jindal highlighted a 3.4 million dollar project to overlay an 8.2 mile stretch of LA 35 between LA 82 and LA 335 in Vermilion Parish.

The last overlay project on LA. 35 was nearly 30 years ago in 1985. The recently completed overlay project was designed to make the stretch of road smoother and safer for the approximately 1300 motorists it serves per day.

Governor Jindal said, "LA 35 is a key corridor in Vermilion Parish that helps drive our economy and gives sportsmen access to some of best hunting and fishing in the state. Since 2008, the Jindal administration has invested 5.6 billion dollars in Louisiana's infrastructure.
